Sound goalkeeping abilities and excellent communication skills help this goalkeeper keep things organized in the back. Courageous in challenges and rare errors make a him a very consistent and dependable performer. In 2006, his hard work and terrific play were rewarded in a remarkable season that saw him win the MLS Goalkeeper of the Year. This led to a successful 2 year stint with top Norwegian side Vålerenga where he led the team to success in the Norwegian Cup in 2008. Troy has now transferred back to DC United for the 2010 season.
