Bedoya scores 1st goal of season for Orebro

STOCKHOLM (AP) — American midfielder Alejandro Bedoya scored his first goal of the season, giving Orebro a 1-0 victory at Brommapojkarna on Thursday in the Swedish League.

Bedoya, competing for a spot on the U.S. World Cup roster, scored on a diving header from a few yards out in the 40th minute. The 22-year-old from Miami joined Orebro last year after playing for Fairleigh Dickinson and Boston College.

He has made two appearances for the U.S. national team, in January against Honduras and in March at the Netherlands.
