Bob Bradley on Tuesday unveiled his preliminary roster for the World Cup on Tuesday in an announcement made on ESPNEWS. Included in the list are First Wave clients Alejandro Bedoya (Örebro) and Robbie Findley (Real Salt Lake).
This group will convene in Princeton, N.J., this weekend for the start of World Cup training camp on Monday, May 17. The U.S. faces the Czech Republic, Turkey and Australia before their first match of the World Cup against England.
The list will need to be cut down to 23 players by June 1. FIFA does allow for replacements in cases of serious injuries within 24 hours of a team's first game in South Africa. The U.S. national team opens play in Group C on June 12 when they take on Fabio Capello's England.
